Cargo Worthy is an official inspection term which is a grade above wind/water tight containers. When checking with other companies, be sure to ask whether they are quoting you actual cargo worthy or wind/water tight containers. Both grades of containers are actually "wind and water tight" but wind and water tight as a container grade means the container is in significantly worse condition. Cargo worthy containers have been inspected by a licensed inspector at the port and certified for continued use in ocean shipping.
